RAAF C-130J Over Melbourne

In the lead up to the Centenary of Military Aviation Airshow a pair of C-130J-30 Hercules aircraft from 37 Squadron conducted a media flight over Melbourne. The two aircraft (A97-465 and A97-466) took off from RAAF Base Williams (Point Cook) at 10:30am and flew over Port Phillip Bay before conducting a passes overhead the base followed by circuits over Melbourne’s CBD, St Kilda, Port Phillip Bay and Altona Bay.

RAAF C-130 Flare Drop

A RAAF C-130J performed the final flying display of the Friday night during the Australian International Airshow. This display came to a spectacular conclusion with the release of flares.
